Who we are.

Trust Your Family PLLC is an estate planning, business advisory, guardianship, and probate & trust administration law firm with its principal office at 2121 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite 301, Alexandria, Virginia 22314. References to "we," "us," and "the firm" mean Trust Your Family PLLC. References to "you" mean any visitor to this website or person who contacts the firm.

What information we collect.

We collect two kinds of information when you interact with us:

Information you provide

• Your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include when you contact us through our forms, by email, by phone, or through workshop registrations.
• Information you share during a discovery call or Life and Legacy Planning Session^®, including details about your family, your assets, and your goals.
• Documents and records you provide in connection with an engagement.

Information collected automatically

• Standard server log information (IP address, browser type, referring page, time of visit).
• Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics, site functionality, and (where applicable) anti-fraud.

How we use it.

We use information to respond to your inquiries, schedule and conduct meetings, deliver legal services, send you communications you have requested (such as our newsletter or event invitations), comply with our legal and ethical obligations as a law firm, and improve the operation of this website.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email solely to send you the newsletter. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.

Information we do not share.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not share your information with advertisers.

We share information only as required to: deliver the legal services you have engaged us for (for example, filing documents with a court or coordinating with your CPA or financial advisor at your direction); comply with applicable law or a valid legal process; or with vendors who help operate our practice (such as our email host, document-management system, or scheduling platform) and who are themselves bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Attorney-client privilege.

Information shared with the firm in the course of an attorney-client relationship is also protected by attorney-client privilege and the rules of professional conduct that govern attorneys of the firm in the jurisdictions in which they are actively licensed. Those protections are separate from, and in addition to, anything described in this privacy policy.

Important: contacting the firm — by website form, by email, or otherwise — does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is created only when both you and the firm have signed a written engagement letter.

Cookies & analytics.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate this website and understand how it is used in aggregate. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work correctly if you do.

We use a privacy-respecting web analytics service to understand site traffic. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.

Text messages & SMS.

If you opt in to text messages from the firm, message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Opting in to text messages is never a condition of engagement.

Your choices.

You can ask us at any time what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to our legal and ethical obligations to retain certain records). To make a request, email us at admin@trustyourfamily.com.

You can unsubscribe from any non-essential communication (such as the newsletter or event invitations) at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us.

Children's privacy.

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Chat & AI assistant.

This site uses a chat assistant powered by an artificial intelligence model (Claude, by Anthropic) operating on the Zoho SalesIQ platform. When you use the chat:

• Your messages, IP address, browser type, approximate location, and visit history are stored by Zoho SalesIQ and may be retained as part of our customer records.
• Your chat content is sent to Anthropic for processing the AI response. Anthropic does not use chat content to train models.
• If you provide your name, email, phone number, or other contact information, that information is added to our customer relationship management system (Zoho CRM) so we can follow up with you.
• A summary of the chat may be automatically generated and attached to your record in our CRM.

We retain chat records for as long as we maintain client and prospective-client files, consistent with our recordkeeping obligations as a law firm. You may request deletion of your chat records by emailing admin@trustyourfamily.com, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.
